Focus on Energy’s budget comes from utility revenues
Focus on Energy funding equals 1.2% of utility revenue, with the 2009 budget for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy programs totaling $76 million. The combined program goals for the Residential, Renewable and Business Programs are 285,048,338 kWh, 10,984,772 therms and 46,301 kW. In addition, the program is accountable for delivering a $1.20 in energy savings value for each $1.00 invested. In 2008 the program achieved a benefit of $2.20 for each dollar invested. Because of the efforts of Focus on Energy and our partnering utilities, Wisconsin was just named the 5th in the Country for energy efficiency efforts by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy!
