Why doesn't my utility company participate in Focus on Energy?

The majority of Wisconsin utilities participate in Focus.

Act 141 provides that the investor-owned electric and gas utilities must collectively establish and fund statewide energy-efficiency and renewable energy programs (these programs are offered through Focus on Energy). Municipal and cooperative utilities have the option to join Focus on Energy or run their own programs. A majority of Wisconsin utilities participate in Focus on Energy; you can view a list on the Web site. To find out not only if your utility is participating but what programs and offerings you are eligible for through Focus on Energy, visit the eligibility tool. Make sure you have your ZIP code and county name handy when you enter the site!
