I just purchased some energy efficient windows for my home, is there a program that provides some reimbursement for this purchase. I do not file state/federal income taxes because my only income is Social Security so I don't think I would qualify for the tax incentive there.

There are no state income tax incentives for windows.

There are no state income tax incentives available for the purchase of energy-efficient windows. You may be correct to assume that you do not qualify for any federal tax incentives as the current incentive is a tax credit which reduces your income tax liability. Since you do not have an income tax liability, there is nothing to take a credit against. To learn the details regarding federal tax credits, visit the ENERGY STAR (R) Web site or the Tax Incentives Assistant Project Web site. These Web sites have information that consumers and businesses need to make use of the federal income tax incentives for energy efficient products and technologies.
I am not aware of any other programs that help pay for new windows.
