To the best of my knowledge there are no federal tax credits for water softeners. I would suggest visiting the ENERGY STAR® website or the Tax Incentives Assistant Project website to learn more. These sites have information that consumers and businesses need to make use of the federal income tax incentives for energy efficient products and technologies. There are no Focus on Energy Cash-Back Rewards available for the installation of water softeners.
