Our schedule each day varies. We have a boiler as well as a heat pump. What is the best programmable thermostat for our situation? We would need to override the settings at times.
Look for a thermostat with 7-day programmability.
Look for a thermostat with seven-day programmability. This allows you to set a program for each day. For the days that you still need to override the settings most thermostats have a temporary hold that will automatically return the thermostat to the program schedule after a period of time.
Remember that setting back your thermostat can save money even if you have to override the thermostat periodically.
