Focus on Energy, Wisconsin's statewide resource for energy efficiency and renewable energy, provides information and incentives for eligible residents to install small-scale wind energy systems at their homes and businesses. You can visit the wind information center to learn more about small-scale wind systems and Focus financial incentives. Focus also provides a 50% discount on a site assessment to determine if your property is suitable for a wind system.
There are no state incentives, but the federal government does offer a 30% tax credit on wind energy systems. To learn the details regarding federal tax credits, I would suggest visiting the ENERGY STAR (R) Web site or the Tax Incentives Assistant Project Web site.
