Focus on Energy and the federal government have incentives!
Focus on Energy, Wisconsin's statewide resource for energy efficiency and renewable energy, provides information and incentives for eligible residents to install small-scale wind energy systems at their homes and businesses. You can visit the wind information center to learn more about small-scale wind systems and Focus financial incentives. Focus also provides a 50% discount on a site assessment to determine if your property is suitable for a wind system.
There are no state incentives, but the federal government does offer a 30% tax credit on wind energy systems. To learn the details regarding federal tax credits, I would suggest visiting the ENERGY STAR (R) Web site or the Tax Incentives Assistant Project Web site. These Web sites have information that consumers and businesses need to make use of the federal income tax incentives for energy efficient products and technologies.
