I installed a Buderus GB142-30 high-efficiency boiler and have applied for the $400 Cash-Back Reward. I am told that I could replace my existing gas water heater with an add-on storage tank that would replace my water heater, making me eligible for a $200 water heater Cash-Back Reward. I could also cap the chimney for another $75 rebate. Is this correct? Will these rewards apply in 2010, allowing me to postpone the installation until next year?

You could receive the boiler, indirect water heater, and flue-closure Reward for the application you describe. The rewards will also be available in 2010, but by changing out the system sooner rather than later you will start saving energy and money.
