I have an old dehumidifier, (still runs) and would like to know if the cash for appliances program is still in effect. I recently purchased a new ENERGY STAR qualified dehumidifier.
Not through Focus, but here are some suggestions on where to look.
Focus on Energy currently does not have an appliance pick up program. Here are some suggestions of other places you can look to for recycling options. First check with your local utility, they sometimes offer special, limited time programs for turning in older, working appliances for recycling. Second, you could check with the appliance retailers that you bought your new appliance from, some retailers will also recycle old working appliances for you. And lastly, you can also call your local sanitation department or look in the yellow pages under recycling to see what options are available in your community.
