If we put 8 inches of icynene over our entire attic floor instead of just foaming the walls and penetrations would we have a problem with this trapping moisture?
No, moisture should pass through it.
Thanks for your question! You should not have a problem with installing Icynene; it is an open cell expanding foam. This type of foam allows moisture in vapor form to readily pass through to the vented attic space above it.
