Our 2,200 square-foot home, built in 1998, has two levels. The upper level is an open loft area. The living room on the lower level has several windows. The living room also has two heat registers and one cold air return, yet it is always significantly colder than the rest of the house. The loft is above the living room. We have tried partially closing off vents in less occupied rooms, adjusting the flow from the basement, etc. to no avail. We like to keep our house at an efficient 68 degrees. Any thoughts? Is someone able to come out and check?
